JOSH HUTCHERSON ASDGHJKL;

I thought about doing many a thing for my blog post today, a review, a heartfelt passage, a whole article on my dog, but I'm going to go do something a little easier; TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MY LOVE FOR J-HUTCH (Just his physical attributes for today, ladies)

He only has one flaw...(in my opinion anyway, I'm sure a shorter girl wouldn't mind all that much)... He's only 5"7! Just a little shorter than me. I'll just never wear heels around you, it's fine Joshy, I'll do it for you. Now we have the bad stuff out of the way, let's move on to his best attributes.

HIS TEETH ARE AMAZING WHAT THE HELL DEAR GOD. If you know me personally, you'll know I look for three things in a potential boyfriend (which Josh is soon to be) and they are 1) Taller than me. As I said before, we can get past that. 2) Have good teeth. CHECK. Finally, 3) Be older. We've also got that covered. When he speaks his little Kentucky-ien(?) accent it's so cute and his teeth just make me feel all fuzzy inside.

Lastly, his Jaw; HNG. It could cut diamonds. It is actually, like no mess, perfection. His whole face makes me so happy. His eyes, also, they're so cute and browny/green and lovely and just OMG.

P.S It annoys me when people are like 'oh wow who is Josh Hutcherson the one from The Hunger Games?' YES HE HIS FROM THE HUNGER GAMES BUT HE'S ALSO BEEN IN SO MANY GOOD AND SUCCESSFUL AND FUNNY AND GREAT FILMS SO JUST BACK OFF

:)

Teens:

Teenagers; horrid, trouble-making scum-bags, right? Right. Well, the majority of the time they are. I am terrible for stereotyping people, but if I see a load of girls with orange faces and Paul's Boutique's on, I'll cross the road. Then again I'm sure an old woman wouldn't want to be less than 3 metres away from me.  I am actually a nice person. When it comes to the elderly, respecting people and using manners, anyway. I got a few dirty looks yesterday 'cos I went a bit heavy on the eye make up and dressed in all black, and weirdly I kind of liked the disproving glances? They don't know me, and if they get an impression that I am disrespectful and will mug them, cool. Just because I smoke rarely and wear 'punk/grunge' clothing sometimes, doesn't mean I'm awful. I guess I'm trying to say that if you want to judge me because I'm a teen or because of my appearance then do so, but if you get to know me, I'm actually quite sweet! Have a lovely and reserved photo of me and Sammie :)  (JOKE, JOKE, JOKE, THIS WAS A JOKE)

(sorry if I frighten you hahahahaa)

April Wishlist:

As a typical teenage girl, my list of things I want to buy and the list of things I can actually afford are not the same. I'm going into Liverpool tomorrow so I hope to purchase a few bits and bobs that I will hopeful post as a haul in the evening, but I know I'll only have enough for one of two things on my wishlist. Anyway... a girl can dream, and I thought I'd share with you all the stuff I want to so desperately own. My April wishlist:

1) Something with a totally on trend skull on it! Be it a tee-shirt, hand bag or scarf, I need skullssssssss. Kat Von D and Bunny (grav3yardgirl) are some of my fashion icons and they're pretty well known for their attire, skulls being something they'll often wear.

2) A good bronzer! (or something to contour with) :) Cheek bones, cheek bones, cheek bones galore! I don't have very prominent ones myself, so I need a good shadow to give the illusion. I was thinking Nars, or Mac.  Which are both conveniently out of my price range..... Looks like I'm just gonna have to save up.

3) Bright nail varnish; must have right now. With summer and spring bringing bright and colourful trends, why not have nails to match? Right now it's the Easter holidays where I live so the first thing I did when I got home from school was slap on some forest green nail varnish. I'd of much rather of used a luminous orange, but, yep, I don't have any. Definitely a necessity.

4) The 'crucifix' trend is one I'm liking... I am in no way shape or form a Christian so the cross is nothing more than an edgy geometric shape in my mind. I'm an Atheist in fact. I feel like the crucifix thing is associated with *nobheads* on tumblr but in actual fact it's grungy and popular this season, mostly off catwalk though. A pair of black cross earrings for me please! (p.s, I'll talk about the whole inverted cross thing soon)

5) A good, sturdy and of course trendy leather jacket. SAD STORY ALERT: I was shopping with my dad the other week and we pondered into the Levi's shop, and stumbled upon the prettiest leather jacket I've ever laid eyes on. It fit perfectly and everything and it was so nice just omg, and then I looked at the price tag: £200! I've made it my mission to find an affordable (p-)leather jacket A.S.A.P.

6) A new Pandora charm, stat. I only have three charms on my bracelet and my mum said I'm only going to be 'gifted' one on special occasions. UGH. Like I mentioned earlier, I have little to no money of my own so this presents the problem of me not buying myself one. Christmas, hurry up!

7) Finally.... (not really fashion based) I need to see The Hunger Games like so soon!! It came out nearly a week ago and after reading all three books last October, hearing the soundtrack and looking at gifs while slowly wiping away the tears, my need to see it has grown increasingly stronger. JOSH HUTCHERSON, MY BODY IS READY.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes:

(credit)

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes. Hmmmm. Ryan Gosling is my one true love who will come to the North West of England soon enough and whisk me away some place sunny. But for now, he's settling for Eva Mendes, urgh. Some may say I'm 'reviewing' their relationship and slating it because I'm jealous, (I AM SO JEALOUS) but I actually have a few valid points to say about this pairing.

(credit)

First off; age. Ryan Gosling is known for going for the older ones, with Rachael McAdams being 2 years older, and Sandra Bullock being....... 16 years older, I wouldn't have expected anything else. Ryan's a good, productive, healthy 31, and Eva is 38. WHY O WHY. He could have just about any girl in the whole entire universe, yet he chooses someone with a slightly wrinkly face. Sure, Eva Mendes is an attractive nearly 40 year old, but he could do so much better.

Shudder. Aesthetics, secondly. I don't think they look good together. Ryan Gosling is more rough, unorthodox and original I guess? Eva, on the other hand, is safe, classic and just... boring. Take music tastes, for example. I'm assuming Ryan likes the music that he plays himself, so with that estimation in mind, all I can visualise is Eva Mendes covering her ears at a Dead Man's Bones (Ryan Gosling and Zach Shield's band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGakxDyjwzc) concert and demanding to leave. Everything about the  pair makes me wince.

To conclude: Meh, I'm not seeing it at all. I'll think of you and Carey Mulligan smooching in a lift or Michelle Williams cuddling into you on a bus, just not this. Here's an idea Mr Gosling: Go for someone younger.
I wish you all the best, but please for the love of all things fair, break up!!
 I shall be waiting, Ryan.....

Mother's Day Cupcakes:

Mother's day. Cards, Flowers, Chocolates. Stereo-typical gifts to show your mum you love and appreciate her a heck of a lot on a particular Sunday every March. This year, my mother Christine  has gone on a Yoga workshop to find 'inner peace' and tranquillity. I'm running her a bubble bath and cleaning the house (I know, I know, I deserve the daughter of the year award) for when she arrives back from her retreat :) I've decided to not buy flowers or chocolates, but to bake cupcakes!! If you know me you'll know I'm big on baking and cooking, though I never eat it the things I produce, so the things I make usually go to waste, boooo :(

The website where I found the recipe for my cupcakes is here, but I've adapted the recipe slightly so if you want to find out how I made these delish (I presume) cakes, read on;
(my picture)
This recipe makes 12 good sized cupcakes :)

You will need (for the batter):
  • 110g (4oz) butter
  • 225g (8oz) caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 150g (5½oz) self-raising flour, sifted
  • 125g (4½oz) plain flour, sifted
  • 120ml (4fl oz) semi-skimmed milk,
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • PS. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees/160 degrees fan oven.
    1. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth a large mixing bowl.
    2. Add one eggs and mix in well, Add the other and beat until the whole mixture is creamy.
    3. In a separate bowl, roughly mix the two types of flour together.
    4. Put the milk into a container and add the vanilla extract, 'swirling' slightly.
    5. Sift half of the flour mixture and half the milk mixture into the creamed butter and mix well.
    6. Add the other half. :D
    7. Spoon the mixture into a 6 (or twelve) holed muffin tin, lined with cupcakes cases.
    8. Place the tin into the oven for 20-25 minutes (mine took exactly 23 minutes).
    9. Stick a knife into the cooked cakes and if it comes out clean they're ready to cool COMPLETELY!
    10. Repeat the whole oven step if you're cooking in two batches.

For the butter-cream you will need:

    100g of butter
Some icing sugar (this step will become clearer as you read on)
    Red food colouring

Okay, I didn't measure the ingredients for the filling so I'm going to assume these amounts of grams are right :)
    1. Mix the butter slightly so it's easier to blend later.
    2. Add a moderate sprinkling of icing sugar (sorry about the in-accuracy) and mix again.
    3. Repeat this step many times (I did it about 7) until your mixture is thick and creamy.
    4. Add a dash (remember you can always put more in, but never take it away) of food colouring and blend until you get a bright pink colour.

Finally, cut the tops of your cupcakes off and spoon a generous amount of butter cream into the middle and sandwich together. Store your cakes in the fridge so the filling stays firm and yummy!

I hope you enjoy these cakes as much as my mum will!

    FILM REVIEW:

    Girl, Interrupted-

Susanna Kaysen (Winona), 18 years old in April 1967, voluntarily checksherself into Claymoore Hospital after an overdose of aspirin and her stay extends for over a year. She denies the accusation from many that she was attempting to commit suicide.Nurses and therapists are surprised when Susanna acknowledges that she does notactually want to go to college and would like to become a writer. She befriends many fellow girls and forms a small troupe of troubled womenin her ward. Susanna is particularly enchanted by Lisa Rowe (Angelina), a charismatic socio-path. Lisa befriends Susanna andthe two start causing trouble.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girl,_Interrupted_(film)

I found myself pondering upon older movies, andafter watching 'The Breakfast Club' on Wednesday night I thought I'd lookaround a bit for an unusual and hard hitting film to watch. Admittedly, I'd seen thismovie giffed a lot on tumblr, and many quotes from the 1993 book all over my dashboard, soI thought I'd give it a go. Before I'd even hit play I had an incling that Iwould like it as Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder both have main parts, andlet's face it, what could go wrong?

In no way what so ever am I self-diagnosing myself here, or saying I ever went to the extreme's that Susannah went to in the film, but I can relate to what she was feeling through out. I loved this movie so much and it's up there in my favourites and I know I'll watch it again sometime soon. I cried many-a-time and without giving too much away, Brittany Murphy's performace was stunning and made me cry even more because I'm so sad she's not with us any more :(

Jared Leto makes an apperance also, and after being slightly confused to why Zac Efron was in a film looking middle aged more than 10 years ago I realised it was just the 30 Seconds to Mars lead singer. I identified with each character on some level and the cinematography was second to none. Over all, this movie is totally worth watching!
